Work it, Own it...

I'm well into my 4th week of P90X and some serious changes are happening.

I have a constant awareness of my legs, they feel tired but strong and firmer (less diary more meat if you catch my drift). The jumping around like and idiot routine, aka plyometrics, I did last night was the perfect outlet after being stretched on the rack at a 'board meeting' that consisted of the two company owners and myself.

Without getting into details the employees, every last one, are determined to screw them over, and all signs point to negativity. A two and a half hour session of negative ooze. This is paranoia at it's best. So after a teary drive home during which I chanted something along the lines of, "This isn't reality, this isn't reality, this isn't reality." I came home, tried to explain the meeting, burst into tears again (Hey Orchestra, do you know The PMS Blues?) and then changed to workout. Would I have rather uncorked a nice dry Pinot Noir and heated up leftover mac and cheese? Hell yeah! But I resisted.

I did plyometrics and pushed as hard as I could until the end. It was magical, a release, a cleansing, an opportunity to start crafting the email in my mind that I will send today. After all that hard work, I ate what I was supposed to and felt terrific.

This morning (morning blog, variety being the spice of life and all) I ate my breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up. The dogs were confused and I'll admit I was a little too. So now it's off to hit the showers.

As of today, I'm down 4 pounds, feeling fit, not as a fiddle, perhaps a cello - but clearly better than a stand up bass.

BRING IT!!
