Day 5 & 6 of P90X
I was just as surprised as anyone to find myself in the basement at 4:45am Friday morning, but there I was embarking on Legs and Back. I've got big gams, I'm fully aware of this, lunges are brutal for me (is there anything I haven't bitched about yet?) This DVD is 58 minutes long as well. It alternates leg exercises, either using dumbbells for added resistance or just your own body weight, speed skating lunges, wall squats (holy mother of god) and pull ups (again, spaghetti arm girl uses the bands). I was also supposed to do another round of Ab Ripper, but I was running into my carefully honed morning schedule so I bagged that until Saturday.
The event in Portland was cancelled due to the April Fool's Snow Storm, so I ordered a bun less cheese steak - it's a cheese steak, not a steak and cheese, drank several glasses of wine and was in bed by 8pm. I am quite the wild child on a Friday night huh? This is what happens when I wake at 4:15am.
Saturday morning I managed to lay very still in bed until 8:30am I never sleep in, but I believe it was my body trying to tell me that if I continue with the exercise shit, it will indeed shutdown or start to mess with me in ways that only mother nature could conjure, like seizures, strokes or maybe turrets?
Having been away for the past two weekends and unable to do a really deep clean to the house, I knew that was unavoidable today along with grocery shopping and alas, P90X. The morning was already getting aware from me and I briefly contemplated pushing Saturday's workout until Sunday, but I did the Kempo DVD and Ab Ripper. Kempo is a mix of initial Yoga, boxing and kick boxing. It's actually quite fun and of course 58 minutes. Ab Ripper sucked, but a little less this time. I was thankful I got the workout done.
The house is cleaned and I'm just counting the minutes until supper. Tonight I'm feasting on Pad Thai (4 stars of heat please!) and wine. A treat that will have me moaning in delight.
BRING IT!
