Favorite Foods and a Cook Book

Aunt Ann suggested I write a cook book, she might as well have pulled a Star Trek and planted a bug in my brain. . . the idea is sitting there laying eggs - God that's nasty!

I started compiling a list of my favorites the things I love to make and eat. My loving family does not share the joy of all foods. They prefer tamer meat and potatoes and chicken fare. Seafood, they could do without, mushrooms - everyone hates them, really anything beyond comfort food sends them reeling. My husband, The Donald, is brutally honest and very finicky, this is a dangerous combination. Ian Garten's husband Jeffrey is my ideal critic, he comes into the kitchen (now granted, he's away all week and absence make the heart grow fonder, so they say) and oohs and aaahs over whatever she is making, they sit at a romantic table set for two with wine, candles, a center piece designed by the fabulous gay florist friend of Ian's with the mango colored sweater wrapped around his neck. Ian and Jeffry make googley eyes at each other and he acts like he has never had anything so sumptuous in his life. If he's acting, he deserves an Oscar.

The list is coming along nicely and I plan to give a nice juicy description of each recipe, whetting the appetite, if you will (will you?)
